Posh Peanut Girls

Instagram ads aren’t always a bad thing. (Not sponsored 😂🤪) Like how back in November when I scrolled past a Posh Peanut  ad for an adorable Mommy + Me matching robe and swaddle. I gladly followed that bunny trail, dreaming of matching my baby girl coming in March. It didn’t take me long to find that they also sold a matching twirl dress in Ella’s size and I immediately pictured me on our bed, white comforter, matching both my girls (my girlS — plural! such an inconceivable amazing imaginary concept at that time!) I jokingly texted screenshots to my mother-in-law saying “Convince me I don’t need these.” To which she replied “I’ll get it for your Christmas gift!” (Because she’s wonderful like that. 😭😍💞) Fast forward to Christmas, opening three little packages and the dream became a tiny bit more real. But it wasn’t until I had my mom (also exceedingly wonderful 🤩) snap these photos of us that the dream became a reality. *cue Lizzie McGuire “Hey now! Hey nowww! This is what dreeeeams are made of!”* Just what I had pictured! I anticipate them one day rolling their eyes (or cringing or sheepishly shrugging or even just politely “no thank you”ing) at the thought of us all three matching each other...but for now, they can’t object so “heart of my own heart” photoshoot it is! We actually almost forgot to take these pictures in the busy-ness of the weeks after I had Emmy but finally knocked them out the day she turned a month old. And now, here we are, quickly approaching her turning 2 months old and I’m just now sharing them. 🙈 Since  I have this family blog that’s just sitting here collecting dust between my children’s birth stories apparently 🤣  I slapped them up here for anyone who wants to scroll through! By the way I fully intended to have  an endearing quote or thought on motherhood or raising daughters or babies in springtime to accompany these photos but looks like y’all just got rambling commentary instead. You’re....welcome? 🤷🏼‍♀️🙈🌸
